Lottus Education is an educational platform in Mexico that is dedicated to offering high-impact educational programs in order to transform lives and contribute to the development of the country. With a firm belief in the transformative power of education, Lottus Education is committed to providing quality educational alternatives throughout the country, focusing on close accompaniment and unique educational experiences.Through its programs, they seek to make students more competent in the job market, broadening their horizons and fostering their personal and professional growth. With 80,000 students enrolled, a network of 42 campuses in 10 Mexican states, and offering 3 study modalities, Lottus Education groups prestigious institutions such as Universidad Latinoamericana, Universidad Tres Culturas, Colegio Indoamericano, Universidad Autónoma del Noreste, Centro Universitario UTEG, and BEDU.

Faced with constant growth and the need to offer a unique and secure educational experience, Lottus Education faced the challenge of modernizing its technological infrastructure. They were looking to improve the management of their resources, guarantee the security of their students' and staff's data, and, above all, expand their educational offerings through scalable and flexible technologies.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) was chosen as the cloud service provider because of its global leadership, its wide range of services and tools, and its ability to offer a secure, scalable, and highly available architecture. AWS offered the solutions needed to address Lottus Education's challenges, including multiple account management, data security, and scalability of educational services.

Lottus Education implemented a multi-account architecture with AWS Control Tower

, creating a Landing Zone that allowed them to establish an organized, secure and efficient environment. This environment was structured into various organizational units and accounts, including:

• Root Organization Management Account: for centralized administration of security policies and service management.

• Infrastructure Network: For provisioning critical network resources and establishing secure VPN connections.

• Shared Services: For managing centralized services and shared resources.

• Security, Log Archive, and Audit: To ensure security integrity, monitoring and response.

• Workloads (Staging, Development, Application): To manage the application lifecycle, from development to production, in a secure and controlled environment.
